Sweet Kiss Cupcakes is owned by Candace McCrae. Growing up, Candace baked cakes with her grandmothers. Her grandmother Geraldine baked and decorated beautiful wedding cakes and would let Candace help! She also baked custom cakes for Candace’s birthday celebrations. Candace also baked with her grandmother Barbara. Their favorite was red velvet, which is now Sweet Kiss’ top-selling cupcake. Every year, they would get together to bake Candace’s red velvet birthday cake! Candace’s grandmothers passed down tasty recipes and lots of love! Now, Candace enjoys baking with her daughter Brie, who is mommy’s sweet kiss!

Candace has always enjoyed baking and decided to turn her passion into a profit. It began with her baking for family functions; her relatives would fight over the very last cupcake crumb. She sat back and laughed at her crazy clan for a few years until her loving grandmothers encouraged her to stop laughing and start selling! Candace took a few culinary courses, obtained her business license, and things took off.
